Best Win Bet: 3.20 Sedgefield Mr Clarkson 11/10 & 2.00 Huntingdon Crievehill 2/1
Best EW Bet3.10 Huntingdon Kilronan High 20/1

Mark Usher
1.50 Chelmsford City Mistry 7/2
We are going to take our chance and run Mistry at Chelmsford this afternoon. It is her last chance to run off her old mark and on what she has achieved on her last two runs at Kempton and at Lingfield she should have a competitive chance in her first run at the minimum trip from a reasonable draw; her jockey is in great form riding two winners from two rides yesterday
★★★☆

Martin Keighley
2.20 Chelmsford City Whatalove 8/1
It's a competitive little race but she's off no weight at all with Rhian Ingram taking a further 7lbs off her already low weight of 8 stone 2 lbs which had left us scratching our heads for very light weight jockeys!  Freddie was nearly recruited in disguise!  We're pleased with her at home but she needs to improve on what she has shown on the track and cope with the wind if it's as bad as it is here as she's only small.
★★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston Davies
1.30 Huntingdon Double Court 16/1
Double Court had shown good improvement but a 14lb rise since a win at Newton Abbot four outings ago to 96 may have proved restrictive last time, though he still went well until the latter stages. Back down a couple of pounds here over a similar trip will help and Jamie Bargary's 3lb claim will help. A good run expected and he's back within a pound of a good second place run at Perth back in September.
★★★☆☆
2.00 Huntingdon Crievehill 2/1
Crievehill has some good form in the book already and won very nicely on his handicap debut at Lingfield. He ran well in a grade two event at Haydock last time and in novice company again today can go very well. Looks to have an excellent chance, Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
★★★★★
3.10 Huntingdon Kilronan High 20/1
Kilronan High won at Hereford three outings ago over 2m 5f and went up 5lbs to 132 where she remains. In a non-handicap mares chase today, she looks to have each way chances and may just go close. Willy Twiston-Davies rides.
★★★☆☆

David Pipe
3.20 Sedgefield Mr Clarkson 11/10
It is a 2m1f conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle and his last start at Exeter is safely ignored as the bit slipped through his mouth - his previous two successes read well and a repeat of those efforts will see him go very close. David Noonan is in the saddle and takes 3lbs off his back.
★★★★★

Ed Walker
5.50 Wolverhampton Everdina 7/2
Everdina a daughter of Pour Moi makes her handicap debut in the opening contest on the card at 17:50, a one mile four furlong handicap. She is drawn in stall one of ten and will be ridden by Thomas Brown. She has been gradually improving with each run and the step up in trip should suit her as she was staying on well on her last start at Kempton when finishing fifth.
★★★☆☆
6.25 Wolverhampton Dark Titan 9/2
He is drawn in stall seven of eight and will be ridden by Thomas Brown. He improved considerably from his first run to second when finishing an encouraging third last time out at Lingfield and in a race which lacks horses with experience hopefully he will be able to put his to good use here. However despite a lot of the competition being unraced there are several expensive purchases and well bred horses in the field so it is hard to know what we are up against but we are hopeful he will run well.
★★★☆☆

Mike De Kock
5:25 Meydan Mubtaahij 11/8
Mubtaahij arrived back in Dubai on 12 December after a short spell in quarantine, which was really his only period of rest after his US campaign. He ran some cracking races in the US, but he wasn’t moving too well on his return so we had to take things quite easy with him. He is moving well again, we’re happy with his progress but he is some way off his peak. He’s been with two trainers in a year, he’s visited two continents and was on different feeds. It’s hard to pick them up from exploits like these. Horses are not machines, they’re no switches you can flick on and off. The strength of this field tomorrow doesn’t matter. Mubtaahij will need the run, he is not at his best and if he doesn’t put in a satisfactory run we’ll race him again on Super Saturday next week. He will make good improvement going into the World Cup
★★★☆☆
6:00 Meydan Johan Strauss 40/1
He needs further, and still needs another run as he is problematic.
★☆☆☆☆
6:00 Meydan Suyoof 13/2
He is doing very well. If this was 1600m I would have been confident, he will still be competitive over 1400m, we’ve run out of time with race choices
★★★☆☆
6:00 Meydan Tahanee 11/1
Still fit and well, in good form and we’ll be looking for another competitive effort.
