David Pipe
2.45 Exeter Shaama Grise 9/4
She won in good style last time at Chepstow on soft ground.  The handicapper was quite harsh, putting her up a stone in the weights, although she won with plenty in hand that day and with more improvement possible, another big run is expected.
★★★☆
3.15 Exeter Herbert Park 12/1
Herbert Park goes in the three mile novices' chase and he has won on all sorts of ground although his most recent form leaves him with some improvement to find.  It wasn't so long ago that he failed by only a neck to concede 16lbs to Pertemps Hurdle favourite To Be Fair over hurdles - form that would give him excellent claims if translating that ability to fences.
★★☆☆☆
3.50 Exeter Abracadabra Sivola 6/1
Abracadabra Sivola runs in the Devon National - he was second in the Somerset National at Wincanton on his penultimate start and was a ready winner at Taunton last time.  The marathon trip of 3m6 1/2f should suit and he is another with solid claims.
★★★★☆
4.55 Exeter Obistar 10/1
The 2m7f trip on this stiff track should suit Obistar who goes in the handicap hurdle at 4.55pm.  He has stamina in abundance and has place claims.
★★★☆☆
5.25 Exeter Tobacco Road (IRE) 7/2
Our final runner is Tobacco Road who had some very useful flat form.  Since switching to hurdles he has finished placed on his last three completed starts and he should go well once again.
★★★★☆

Nigel Twiston Davies
3.35 Warwick Templehills 3/1
Templehills won comfortably over course and distance a couple of weeks ago and although up 8lbs for that looked to have enough in hand to cope with that rise. Another good run is anticipated and last times wining rider, Dave Crosse, continues in the saddle.
★★★★☆
3.50 Exeter Millicent Silver 11/1
Millicent Silver won two good chases last spring , the latter from a mark of 117, her mark today. She enjoys these longer trips and wearing a visor for the first time at Ludlow on her latest outing, returned to form with a good third at Ludlow after a couple of races where she didn't complete. She looks to have at least a good each way chance here and can go close. Noel Fehily rides.
★★★☆☆
4.45 Warwick Muckle Roe 7/1
Muckle Roe is another course and distance winner last time who also seemed to win with plenty in hand. He's up 9lbs but looks to be in very good form at present and capable of defying the rise. Willy Twiston-Davies rides.
★★★☆☆

Julia Feilden
4.35 Lingfield Valley Lodge 25/1
He hasn't matched his career best in the summer when just touched off at Haydock but he is falling in the weights and should eventually find his feet again.
★★☆☆☆
7.15 Wolverhampton Spirit Of Sarwan 13/2
Sarwan got his year off to the best possible start when winning a valuable three-runner race at Lingfield last time and the handicapper only put him up 3lbs for it. He was quite tried after his run but we have freshened him up at home and he is now back in top form. He heads to Wolverhampton for a similar race and hopefully he can pull off a similar result.
★★★☆☆
