19/01/17 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Mike De Kock (Meydan)
2:30 Alareef 10/1
He is well exposed and not running over his best trip. Needed his last run, will do better and we’re hoping for a place.
★★☆☆
3:40 Dream Dubai 8/1
Dream Dubai is an interesting four-year-old, this is his first run for us. He looks quite a nice horse, he was Gr2 placed over 1200m in the UK and had a few decent runs at high level.  We’re starting over 1,000m, it’s too short but we need to get him going and he will improve a lot with this run behind him
★★☆☆☆
4:50 Noah From Goa 9/4
Noah From Goa spent a long time travelling and his training was interrupted by a substantial setback at Newmarket, but nothing’s come in the way since his arrival here in Dubai. He’s doing well and we’re expecting a good run short of his peak, he will improve for it.
★★★☆☆
4:50 Anaerobio 10/1
The nine-year-old is very well, he has been flying around the work track. He is well drawn this time and if he can reproduce his work he will be in the first three
★★★☆☆
6:00 Tannaaf 5/1
Tanaaf needs the run.  He’s enjoyed a break and he runs well fresh, but I’m not convinced, the race will show.
★★☆☆☆
6:00 Whistle Stop 14/1
Whistle Stop, on the other hand, should be at his fittest now.  He’s quirky, a handful at work as he needs to be restrained. His races have helped to get him fit and he’s been getting closer.  He should run well, he is as fit as I’ve seen him
★★★☆☆

Charlie Appleby
4:50 Meydan Flash Fire 6/4
I was very impressed with Flash Fire last time out, when he quickened up well. He has gone up 5lb for that win and we felt that he deserved to take his chance at Group level. He was gelded before his last run and he seems to be moving a lot better. He was a lethargic worker beforehand but seems to be enjoying life more now and looks more of an athlete. Seven furlongs is his ideal trip and this hopefully gives us a nice opportunity to win a G2 race with him.
★★★★☆

David Pipe
3.20 Wincanton Abracadabra Sivola 14/1
Abracadabra Sivola's successes have both won on heavy ground so he clearly appreciates a test and could improve for this trip - Tom Scudamore is in the saddle.
★★☆☆
3.35 Ludlow Gone Too Far 12/1
Gone Too Far is partnered by amateur jockey Mr Rex Dingle and his claim takes his weight down to 11-0.  He looks as though he could do with a bit of help from the handicapper.
★★☆☆☆
