18/01/17 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Nigel Twiston-Davies
1.35 Market Rasen Wicked Willy 13/8
Wicked Willy makes a quick reappearance after a nice win in a conditionals race at Huntingdon five days ago. From the same mark but up by 4f to 2m 7f, he escapes a penalty. He should stay the extra distance and looks to have an excellent chance of following up. Jamie Bargary rides.
★★★★★
2.10 Market Rasen Margarets Rose 8/1
Margaret's Rose makes her handicap debut from a mark of 89. She made a promising bumper debut when 3rd of 8 at Bangor but has finished down the field in four hurdles since. She meets soft ground today, which she won on in her only point over 3m, and hasn't encountered since. Could be on a handy mark on this surface, Jamie rides taking off 3lbs.
★★★☆☆
2.55 Newbury Big Casino 25/1
Big Casino won 3 outings ago at Stratford over 2m 6+f from 119. Up 6lbs for his last two, he fell and then came 6th of 8 at Doncaster. Back down a pound today, he goes without headgear after 12 races. Ground and trip should suit, Willy Twiston-Davies aboard.
★★☆☆☆
2.55 Newbury Little Jon 10/1
Little Jon showed signs of returning to form when 5th of 16 over a similar trip at Haydock last time from 132. Back down 3lbs today, he's down 14lb over the last year. Could be in with a good chance if the signs of coming back to form continue. Sam Twiston-Davies rides.
★★★★☆

Martin Keighley
2.10 Market Rasen Viking Mistress 5/1
It was too soft for her last time and the ground today is better than that and I think she will appreciate dropping back to hurdles.  The form of her last run over hurdles has worked out well and I would love to get a win for the enthusiastic Racing Club Members! Andrew Tinkler rides her.
★★★★☆
3.45 Market Rasen Jazzy 20/1
Jazzy runs in the Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle under Conor Shoemark and is in good form.  It's softer than when he won last time out at Taunton so not ideal however he has acted on good to soft on the flat so let's hope he acts on it again.
★★☆☆☆

Roger Charlton
5.50 Kempton Pobbles 11/2
She is slowly dropping down the weights and she has a much better draw than last time in stall one. Her jockey is in terrific form so we are hopeful of a better result before she goes to the February sales.
★★★☆☆

Ed Dunlop
3.35 Lingfield Global Revival 11/4
Global Revival runs at Lingfield in the 3:35 and he shaped with a deal of promise on his reappearance run. He is by Kyllachy and there was a slight doubt he would stay the 9 ½ furlong trip but he finished his race well and was a little unlucky. It looks a competitive five runner race and Poetic Force looks the main danger after his third in a much higher grade last time. Hochfeld may try and dictate here but he needs to bounce back from a poor run last time. We are two pounds better off with Bazwind on our last meeting and finished half a length behind him, with some improvement expected and the revised terms it would be disappointing if we can’t finish in front of him. Olympic Legend narrowly won a Naas Nursery and beat a subsequent winner so he is no forlorn hope but he has a four month absence to overcome.
★★★★☆
5.50 Kempton Booshbash 7/2
Booshbash put in a career best performance when winning at Chelmsford last time. She is the only runner in the 5:50 at Kempton that has broken their Maiden but she is up against some horses who are very unexposed. Revel was very well backed to win a Maiden at Lingfield recently and shaped as though he will improve for the step up to a mile. Settle Petal has shown plenty of promise in her last two outings and comfortably holds My Lady Marie on their Kempton meeting although she was better positioned. Ocean Promise was flattered on her penultimate start but she should still improve on her slightly disappointing run over further last time, especially if she dictates. Our filly returns from a short break but I hope she can run a good race and she has a solid chance but is potentially vulnerable to one of the more unexposed types.
★★★★☆

David Pipe
2.55 Newbury Rathlin Rose 16/1
Rathlin Rose returns from a lengthy absence - he looked useful when winning at Wetherby when last seen in May 2015 and he will be partnered by conditional jockey Michael Heard.
★★☆☆☆
2.55 Newbury Herbert Park 16/1
Herbert Park has to shoulder top weight of 12-0 and while that looks plenty high enough given his sole chase start to date, it was only three runs ago that he failed by a mere neck to concede 16lbs to Tobefair who completed the six-timer last weekend.
★★★☆☆
