20/1/17 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Tom Clover
7.45 Wolverhampton Askari 7/1
Askari is a lovely-looking son of Sea The Stars who starts in handicaps off a lowly mark. He is a big horse who needs racing and I expect him to improve for the run and hopefully show promsise for the future.
★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
3.20 Chepstow Brownville 8/1
Brownville went very well to be runner up last month at Uttoxeter and goes up 4lbs to 119, 10lbs higher than his last win five outings ago. He's still showing improvement and looks to have every chance over a trip and ground he really appreciates. Sam Twiston-Davies aboard.
★★★★☆
3.50 Chepstow Twist On Ginge 13/2
Twist On Ginge has a couple of bumper runner-up slots plus a last time out hurdles second to his credit and looks to have plenty to come. The step up to this trip last time brought him on and while this looks a slightly better race, he has another very good chance on similar ground. Willy Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
★★★★☆
Roger Charlton
3.40 Lingfield Caracas 9/2
Caracas heads to Lingfield for the last race, a maiden over ten furlongs.Being a close relation to Persian Punch the step up in distance should suit and he is gradually getting the message. Several of his opponements are also improvers but he should have a good chance.
★★★★☆

David Pipe
2.45 Chepstow Shaama Grise 11/8
Recent course runner-up Shaama Grise (pictured above) bids to go one better. She runs from the same handicap mark of 114 but is due to go up by 5lbs in future races so looks a worthy favourite. She ought to win in the hands of Tom Scudamore.
