1.00 Exeter Mr Clarkson 5/4
Mr
Clarkson (pictured above) was a winner of a bumper at the track last time out
for David's new syndicate 'Pipe's Prospectors' and he makes his hurdling debut
this afternoon at 1pm. Winning jockey David Noonan is in the saddle again
today and he looks to have a good chance of following-up.
★★★★★
1.00 Exeter Arkadios 40/1
Arkadios
goes in the same race and had some decent form on the level in France although
he would need to improve on his Hereford showing to figure.
★★☆☆☆
2.20 Ayr Starchitect 8/11
Stable
jockey Tom Scudamore has stayed up in Scotland for the ride aboard Starchitect
in the novices' chase at 2.20pm. He was a 150 rated hurdler and looks to
have been found a good opportunity here.
★★★★★
3.15 Exeter Obistar 9/1
Obistar
makes his chasing debut this afternoon in the three mile novices' chase at
3.15pm. He will appreciate the testing nature of the ground and track -
some of last season's best form would give him a chance and Conor O'Farrell is
in the saddle
★★★★☆
3.50 Exeter Red Square Revival 25/1
Red Square Revival is in the maiden hurdle at
3.50pm - he looked good when winning a bumper on good ground at Worcester but
has disappointed in two starts over timber. The latent ability is clearly
there but he will need to improve on what he has shown thus far.
★★★☆☆
Nick Alexander
2.20 Ayr Clan Legend 9/1
I’m
not at all happy about having to run in this race on these terms (carrying a
7lb penalty against horses rated up to 17lb higher than him) but he needs
another run in novice company before taking on experienced handicappers and
there are few alternatives, he should love the ground, has won at the track and
despite their lofty ratings most of the opposition don’t convince as chasers
yet.
★★★☆☆
3.30 Ayr Gold Opera 11/1
Gold Opera, 9 run and as he has top weight on
heavy ground we are putting up Blair Campbell who claims 7lb, he should run
well back here at Ayr providing he doesn’t get stuck in the mud.
★★★☆☆
Mark Usher
2.30 Kempton Mistry 10/1
Today we take Mistry back to
Kempton for her second run in a Handicap; she has made quite a slow start to
her career and has had one or two physical problems. She is in good form now
though and ran decently and with a degree of promise at Kempton the week before
last. She has been dropped three pounds and today’s race is also a slight drop
in class and she could well be highly competitive this afternoon.
★★★★☆
Robert Buckler
3.15 Exeter Somerset Lias 12/1
We have hunted him and jollied him up and we
wont be putting a tongue strap on him and feels very well in himself.
Everything is right with him but its a very decent race.
★★★☆☆
Richard Hannon
3.40 Kempton Tomily 5/1
Is
coming off the back of a break and if he is anywhere back to his last run at
the end of the year he should make a bold showing.
★★★★☆
4.10 Kempton Torment 14/1
wouldn't be without a chance in the 4.10, as he
has had plenty of runs to get fit now and hopefully can come on again and win
today.
