Nick Alexander
12.45 Hexham Clan Legend 9/4
He’ll
love the ground and whilst I expect him to take a few fences to warm up he
should run well
★★★★☆
1.15 Hexham The Bishop 5/1
We
run course and distance winner The Bishop in the 1.15, Kit rides and 10 run, he
lost his way latterly last season but seems fresh and well now, he should be
fine on the ground.
★★★★☆
1.45 Hexham Final Reminder 9/2
The
ground is the big question mark over Final Reminder in the 1.45, she wants a
test of stamina but I’m not certain she will handle these extreme conditions,
if she does she should go close as she is a lovely filly with plenty of ability
★★★★☆
2.15 Hexham Little Glenshee 9/1
Little
Glenshee attempts to atone for a disappointing start to her season, this is her
ground but it is a competitive race
★★★☆☆
2.45 Hexham Heres To Harry 25/1
his
career has been a litany of problems and setbacks and perhaps my perseverance
has been blindly optimistic but he has a feather weight and I’m always hoping
★★☆☆☆
3.15 Hexham Clan Chief 4/1
far
from convinced about the ground/track combination for him but he will handle it
better than the key opponents in an ordinary affair

12.15 Hexham Great Tempo 1/16
Our
three year old Great Tempo had some very decent form in France, including when
runner-up at Auteuil last time out. He handles soft ground well and will
take the world of beating although you are not going to get rich backing him
★★★★★
2.55 Leicester Rathealy 4/1
Meanwhile
at Leicester this represents a drop in class for Rathealy as he takes in the selling
hurdle although he has a little to find strictly at the weights. Michael
Heard takes 5lbs off his back and if he can reproduce any of his better form he
would have a decent chance.

Kempton Pobbles 15/2
Pobbles has run quite well in a few
maidens but it doesn’t appear that the handicapper has taken any chances with
her mark of 71. She is however drawn well in 4 and is hopefully improving
enough to defy the handicapper. She seems in good form at home.

4.15 Kempton Sparkle 11/2
Sparkle ran her best race yet when
third last time in a competitive Nursery and we have taken the hood of her this
evening. The two principles are both proven over a mile and therefore it is
unlikely to be run at a crawl but I hope our filly may have more speed than
them over 7f. Despite being out of a Sadler’s Wells mare, Haraka shaped as if
this drop back to 7f may suit last time and she could be a danger to all.
Widnes looks to be the most dangerous outsider given he could have met two
above average opponents last time but he has stall twelve to contend with.
★★★★☆
6.45 Kempton Dutch Uncle 6/1
Dutch Uncle contests the 1m3f 0-85
handicap which represents a drop in grade after he contested the Middle
Distance Final on his comeback run. He has come on for the run and if he could
match his second behind Barsanti over course and distance then he would have
every chance but we do have a wide draw in 13 to overcome. Towerlands Park
looked a horse to follow when winning well on his third start over a mile and
if he is fit and ready to go after a year off the track he could be very well
handicapped. The trip is a worry with his breeding suggesting a mile could suit
better than this eleven furlongs.
Inniscastle Lad is a horse I know well having owned and trained
him, he could well get the lead despite being drawn eleven and will be
dangerous if he can dictate. There should be two or three horses that sit on
his quarters but we are likely to get an even gallop at best. Tangramm is
coming back from a break but he was extremely progressive last year before
running badly on his last start.

6:45 Kempton – Golden
Jubilee 22/1
Has
won twice over course and distance but not been out since February when a close
up 4th of 6 at Southwell from a mark of 79. From the same mark today, he's
nicely fit for his return and may have enough to threaten the places at decent
odds. Thomas Brown rides.
★★☆☆☆
