27/10/16 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

David Pipe (Chester Barnes)
3.35 Sedgefield Kalifourchon 8/1
He is an 11/1 chance and while he will need to improve on his most recent efforts, he was a winner first time out and a repeat of that sort of form from only a 1lb higher mark would see him go close.
★★★☆
4.10 Sedgefield Shotavodka 14/1
David also saddles Shotavodka in the Durham National at 4.10pm over the marathon trip of 3m5f - he is a 7/1 chance in the Post and is another with decent prospects...let's hope it is a good day for the stable.
★★★★☆
4.30 Stratford Gabrial The Great 11/4
He carries top weight of 11-12 less David Noonan's claim of 3lbs.  He was a good winner last time out at Uttoxeter and is now 7lbs higher in the weights and he looks to have a good chance once again.
★★★★☆

George Baker
2:20 Stratford – Destinys Gold 2/1
Destinys Gold to Stratford for a selling hurdle. He goes there with an obvious chance, but there are a couple in there with decent form.
★★★★☆

Roger Charlton
3:10 Lingfield – Battlement 13/2
Battlement ran a blinder last time out at Ascot when drawn away from the others, she travelled well and stayed on to be 3rd and got the all important placing in a listed race. Today she has a tricky draw in that she is drawn 11/12 on a turning track, which is not ideal. Up to a mile from 7f, hopefully this gives her more time to organise herself and obtain a fair position in the field, and pick up some more prize money. She is in very good form, and worked well last week.
★★★★☆

Malcom Jefferson
3.35 Sedgefield Sun Cloud 4/1
made his seasonal reappearance over hurdles and, having run so well, we decided to give him another run over them. He is a better chaser but the trip and ground will suit him and he should get a honest gallop to aim at so you hope he has a good chance. He will stay where others perhaps have to prove they will.
★★★★☆
5.10 Sedgefield Ethelwyn 7/1
is one of the most consistent horses we have ever trained and this race looked suitable for her. The ground and trip are perfect but she will need luck. It is a competitive little affair but she is in good form.
★★★★☆

Fergal O’Brien
3:25 Stratford – Chili Romance 11/1
She runs in the 3:25 which is a National Hunt novice hurdle. She ran well on her debut over hurdles so we hope she can run a solid race today.
★★★☆☆
4:10 Sedgefield – Jenny’s Surprise 12/1
Jenny’s Surprise’ is a thorough stayer and she needs to be today as her race is a 3 mile 5 furlong Handicap Chase!!!! Paddy rides.
★★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
2.50 Stratford- Foxtail Hill 9/4
Won comfortably at Worcester a week ago and goes into this in good form. Well in despite a penalty, he should go very well again. Ryan Hatch takes off a further 3lbs.
★★★★★
4.00 Stratford- Big Casino 13/8
Was runner up at Uttoxeter four weeks ago but that represented a return to form and he's been in good shape since. Up 3lbs for that but still well below what he has been on, he too looks to have a good opportunity here and a good run expected, Ryanin the saddle.
★★★★☆
5.00 Stratford- El Terremoto 13/8
Ran well to be 5th of 8 three weeks ago at Chepstow, his hurdles and debut in this country having come from France. Sure to have come on for that, this looks like a good chance for him. The step up in trip to 2m 6f shouldn't be a worry and another good run expected. Daryl Jacob on board.
★★★★☆
