19/10/16 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

George Baker
3:55 Fontwell – Preseli Star 12/1
That last chance saloon place. Frustrating. Very frustrating. He works like a decent horse. He does not run like a decent horse. I hope he does today…
★★★☆☆

Daniel Kubler
2:00 Newmarket – Diamante 20/1
Tom Queally rides the filly in the seven furlong maiden. A good looking athletic filly that we absolutely adored at the sales she is by Big Bad Bob from the family of Hawk Wing. Her mother stayed as far as a mile and a half and she should make into a nice mile and a quarter type of filly next season as she strengthens over the winter. We have been pleased with her work at home, whether she quite has the strength about her yet to be up to winning remains to be seen.
★★☆☆☆

David Pipe
4:05 Worcester – Herbert Park 4/1
The jury is out on Herbert Park - after a very promising novices' campaign in 2015 he was disappointing last season.  If he can recapture his best there is no doubt that he can go very well under Tom Scudamore.
★★★★

Alan King
1.40 Fontwell Azzerti 14/1
He ran twice in bumpers last season and travelled like the best horse in the second of them at Warwick in April. However, though he started favourite, he got tired late on in the testing ground, and it was at a time when our horses were not really firing. He has been working well at home and we are looking forward to getting him started in his new career.
★★★☆☆
2.45 Fontwell Board Of Trade 4/1
He was a bit leggy and weak last season, and, though he has filled his frame through the summer, he will benefit from another season over timber before we switch to fences next year. He starts off over this two miles and five, but will stay further in time.
★★★★
4.30 Fontwell Peggies Venture 2/1
She is a new arrival who won her Lingfield bumper on her only run last season, and, being by Presenting, the drying ground should suit her.
★★★★
4.40 Worcester Passmore 14/1
Passmore is only four and showed promise in bumpers last season, but she is the first foal from that good racemare Call Me A Legend, who was successful in bumpers, hurdles and chases for us, so it will be good to see her start rolling over timber
★★★☆☆
