3.55 Carlisle Ballyben 4/1
Ballyben runs in the three mile chase and is in great form at
home. He came out of his Hexham run really well and has come on a lot for that.
He looks fantastic but the softer ground would just dampen your enthusiasm as
all his best form is on good ground. If the chase course rides a bit quicker we
should get away with it.
★★★★☆
5.00 Carlisle Cloudy Dream 8/13
Lightly
raced he won twice last season and was unlucky not to win a third. He has
schooled well at home and we are looking forward to seeing how he gets on.
★★★★★
5.30 Carlisle Dubai Angel 2/1
Dubai Angel is hoping to improve on his three
seconds to date in the bumper and we are happy with him at home. He ran well
last time and a stiffer course should suit him better. There are unknowns in
the race but we hope he gets his head in front.

2.10 Carlisle Been Decided 66.1
Been
Decided will start at long odds in the first race at 2.10 which is a good
novice hurdle, he works well at home but needs to translate this to the track,
Brian Harding rides and 10 run.
★★☆☆☆
2.45 Carlisle Little Glenshee 4/1
she
seems in great fettle and whilst I think 3m will be her optimum trip now she
should still go well over 2m 4f in these conditions.
★★★★☆
5.00 Carlisle Road To Gold 5/1
Road to Gold makes his chasing debut in the 5pm, only
three runners but three good horses and whilst the best of his hurdling form
gives him a chance the focus tomorrow will be to try to ensure he enjoys his
first experience of the larger obstacles.

2.30 Ludlow Somerset Lias 11/2
He will be ridden by Sean Houlihan, a
seven pound claimer, one of the lads from Philip Hobbs’ yard. Sean has schooled
Somerset Lias and ridden him
well when we have taken him down to Philip’s and taking seven pounds off will
certainly help, so he I think that he will be a good place bet at Ludlow. Somerset
Lias was cantering which he doesn’t normally do so he is feeling well in
himself so we are hoping for a good show from him.★★★★☆
4.50 Ludlow Ballyegan 11/1
He returns after a six month break and
will be ridden by Chris Barber, who is also a seven pound claimer. Chris
schooled Ballyegan on Wednesday and rode him very well
and this will be his first ride under rules over fences. He has done a lot of
pointing and Ballyegan will give him a good trip. This race is the right
level for the horse, so it will be interesting.★★★☆☆
