Malcom Jefferson
3.15 Carlisle
Double Ws 15/8
He ran
very well at Hexham over two miles four but we don’t feel the drop back
to two miles tomorrow will inconvenience him as he has a high cruising speed.
He has come on from his last run so we are hopeful.

Ryedale Racer 15/8
a small
horse with the heart of a lion who loves his work – and was unlucky not to win
a race last year. He has strengthened up for another summer on his back and he
is working very well at home but, like most of ours, he will improve for the
run. He looks fit so we hope to upset the favourite!

Major Ivan 7/2
ran very well last time and jumped superbly and we think the extra
4 furlongs will bring out the best in him. The ground should be fine and he
should handle the track.

Nigel Twiston Davies
3.50 Carlisle-
Ballyarthur 10/11
Has had just
one rules outing over hurdles when a promising second of six at Huntingdon
exactly a year ago. A point winner, he has come on and a good run over a
similar trip and ground can be expected. Ryan Hatch in the saddle
★★★★☆
4.05 Uttoxeter- Guiting Power 11/1Has yet to make the frame from six starts, but down a further 3lbs to 84 here and back to 2m 4f can see him put that right. A better run expected and with Jamie Bargary taking off 5lbs, had each way chances.
★★★☆☆
4.40 Uttoxeter- Yanmare 7/2
Is a point winner but hadn't completed in four starts until last time out when 6th of 9 over fences at Worcester early June. He makes his handicap debut here from 74, which could be a decent mark. With Jamie taking off a further 5lbs, the pair should have a good chance.

5.40 Uttoxeter- Bring Back Charlie 11/4
Was second over this trip here just 11 days ago and returns on the same terms. Looks sure to go very close again if not one better. Jamie again in the saddle.
