16th Spetember 2016

Gordon Elliot

4:20 Listowel – The Game Changer 5/6
He's so consistent and we expect nothing less today with Bryan Cooper in the saddle.
★★★★
5:55 Lisotwel – Definite Winner 12/1
She ran well at the Galway Festival however needs to show some improvement here today.
★★☆☆☆
5:05 Hexham – Blake Dean 13/8
He's had a revival of form lately with 2 wins and 4 placed runs since June.
★★★★
6:35 Hexham – Urtheoneiwant 7/1
Runs today for new connections the Gordon Elliott Racing Club, she's come close on a few occasions and we hope she can do the business today.

★★★★

Alan King

3:20 Newbruy – He Who Dares Win 7/2
He is 3lb higher than when a beaten favourite at Nottingham last time and drops down in trip, but that should not be a problem as he showed plenty of speed when winning over this distance at Chester. Pat Dobbs, who rode him here, again takes the mount, and a shower of rain forecast overnight and through the morning will also not go amiss.
★★★★
5:30 Newbury – Ardamir 5/1
The more it stays dry for Ardamir in the finale the better. It’s his first handicap and his first run at a mile and a quarter. He was third at 12 furlongs here last month, but this looks very competitive and we are hoping for a solid run and a strong pace.
★★★☆☆

David Pipe (Chester Barnes)

4.05 Newton Abbot Amigo 9/1
He has the latent ability to go well in a contest of this nature but has been a bit disappointing of late.  David leaves the tongue tie and blinkers off and if he were to return to his Kim Muir or Scottish National form he would have a big shout.
★★★★

4.50 Ayr Impulsive American 2/1
Our four year old has been in cracking form winning over hurdles, fences and on the flat.  I thought he was given plenty enough to do on his last start on the level, so there is still the chance of further improvement - the biggest concern would be over the ground getting too soft for this admirable sort.  He has his tenth run in Scotland this afternoon and has already won five times north of the border...maybe they will make him an honorary Scot?
