13/11/14

Willie Mullins
Killutagh Vic
12:55 Clonmel
Killultagh Vic (Paul) makes his hurdling debut in the 2m 4f maiden hurdle. He jumps okay at home and will handle this soft ground. The trip won’t be a problem and we are expecting a very good run.
★★★☆

David Pipe
Stars Over The Sea
1:00 Ludlow
Tom Scudamore travels to Ludlow for the ride on facile Kempton scorer Stars Over The Sea
★★★★★

Kim Bailey
The Scarlett Woman
1:30 Ludlow
The Scarlett Woman tackle hurdles for the first time. A repeat of her Worcester run would put in with a shout but this looks very competitive.. Any rain for either horse would not suit.
★★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
Abigail Lynch
1:30 Ludlow
Abigail Lynch debuts for us today after four outings for George Baker's yard where she showed ability when winning on her bumper debut in January 13. Two outings over hurdles since didn't produce a finish but hopefully refreshed, she can come back to herself. This mares race looks fairly open and though possibly needing the outing she may have enough to be there at the finish. Sam Twuston-Davies rides.
★★☆☆☆

Richard Fahey
Zaza Zest
1:50 Southwell
Zaza Zest heads to Southwell this afternoon for the 32red Maiden Auction Stakes.
A daughter of Approve, she finished second the last day, although well beaten, over six at Wolverhampton and put in a good performance on her penultimate start to finish a close-up third at Catterick. She steps up to seven furlongs for her fibresand debut and it would be great to see her get her head in front.
★★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
Big Casino
2:00 Ludlow
Big Casino carries top weight and has been in decent form with a win in May and a third last time at Ffos Las under similar conditions as today. Jamie Bargary takes off 10lbs which should enhance his chances and he looks to have good each way claims.
★★★☆☆

Kim Bailey
By The Boardwalk
2:10 Taunton
John Perriss heads to Taunton to watch his horse By The Boardwalk in the novice handicap chase ridden by Jason Maguire. Their partnership might not have been the most harmonious last week at Kempton as they parted company while still going nicely in front.. Today? I am sure we see something completely different.
★★★★☆

Oliver Sherwood
Knockalongi
2:10 Taunton
Knockalongi runs in the Novices Handicap Chase at 2:10pm. He has been off the track for 995 days, he has had his fair share of  problems but we've had a clear run with him this autumn. He will undoubtedly come on for the run, just hopeful of a clear round and shows that he is still competitive.
★★★☆☆

Willie Mullins
Champagne Fever
2:25 Clonmel
Champagne Fever(Paul) makes his seasonal reappearance in the Grade 2 Clonmel Oil Chase. Hegets a nice weight concession here which will be a big help. We would prefer a more testing track but he is ready to run and we have to start somewhere.
★★★★☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
Brownville
2:30 Ludlow
Brownville has stated his career well with a bumper debut win then two runners up slots, the last at Worcester on his hurdles debut. Up a furlong here, he again looks to be heading in the right direction and a good run can be expected with each way prospects. Ryan Hatch aboard.
★★★☆☆

David Pipe
Navanman
2:40 Taunton
Navanman posted a creditable first start for the stable when finishing runner-up in a bumper at Worcester behind El Namoose - the winner has won twice subsequently and he looks a nice mount for Conor O'Farrell this afternoon.
★★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
Fond Memory
3:00 Ludlow
Fond Memory won last time at Kempton in good style off of 105, but goes up 8lbs to 113. That was his chase bow and there is improvement to come so hopefully he will take the rise in his stride. Sam rides and the pair look to have a very good chance of following up.
★★★★☆

Willie Mullins
Pearl Diamond
3:55 Clonmel
We run a very nicely bred filly called Pearl Diamond (Patrick) in the bumper. It is always a concern running a 4yo against older horses in testing ground but she is doing things right at home and will hopefully get off the mark at first time of asking.
★★★★☆

Oliver Sherwood
Santa’s Secret
4:10 Taunton
Santa's Secret runs in the bumper at 4:10pm he's a nice horse who had a few little problems last year He's doing everything right at home and its very much look and learn with him.
★★☆☆☆

Roger Charlton
Captain Marmalade
5:50 Kempton
Captain Marmalade ran well last time over 7f at Newmarket, on ground which was probably on the slow side for him. He is back in trip to 6f today on a surface that he acts on, and I hope he can run well. It is a small field, but a competitive one with Spring Loaded and Lyfka in good form although they have both gone up 7lbs from their last runs. Winning Hunter is an interesting one, having been an expensive purchase, and on his handicap debut.
★★★★☆
