Our six year old was pulled up on his final two starts of last season, although he had previously won a maiden hurdle at Doncaster in good style. Tom Scudamore is on board this afternoon and we will know more about him this afternoon.

Hi George who won on his only start last season over fences for the first time. He was put up 16lb by the handicapper as Hollywell was in behind that day so he goes into better races with less practice then most handicappers! His jumping was good that day and he has schooled well at home but he will probably come on a lot for the run.

He has schooled well over fences, and he is a strong traveller so this two and a half miles looks the perfect place to start, while he enjoys a bit of cut in the ground, so underfoot conditions should be ideal.
Ned Stark is a fine big horse who came to us having already won an Irish point-to-point, and, though he did land a novice hurdle at Chepstow last spring, we always thought he was an embryo chaser

Our Phyllli Vera, who ran on the Flat at Newbury a couple of weeks ago, is back over jumps in the mares handicap hurdle.
We were very pleased with her at Newbury as it was her first run back after her summer holiday and she just got tired in the last quarter-mile. She won twice over hurdles for us last year, so if this race does not come too quick she will hopefully be thereabouts again."

Goldie Horn won a couple of hurdles in June and went up 9lbs as a result which has proved restrictive in her last couple of races. A two pound drop will help as will Ryan's claim and this could put her in with a chance on a track that she has run well on before.

the debut of the Lucky Story gelding‘Episode’ in the juvenile bumper at Huntingdon, the last race on the card. It looks a particularly hot bumper with a well touted John Ferguson horse as favourite ( bred in the purple) , so ‘Dan’ is going to know he’s been at the races on his way home tomorrow, although he did enjoy a recent spin round Ripon for experience. A nice debut from this half brother to Avidity is what we will be looking for, he is a future jumper just like his older brother

Tethra makes her racecourse debut in the Omni Security Sidney Helper Memorial "Junior" Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Huntingdon this afternoon.
Owned and bred by Glen Devlin, the three-year-old daughter of Echo Of Light, is our second runner in a bumper in as many weeks and with Brian Hughes in action at Sedgefield, Andrew Tinkler steps in for the ride. It’s pretty much a watching brief but we hope she shapes with some sort of promise and she’s sure to benefit for the experience.

AF odds on? Now that is not something I would have said was possible a month ago.. Jason Maguire rides rather than Ed Cookson as we have a policy in the yard that when Jason is available, he rides.. even AP would have been jocked off!
