10/11/14

Michael Scudamore
12 30 Southwell
No Through Road
Tom Scudamore makes the trip to Southwell where he rides No Through Road for his brother Michael. No Through Road is on a four timer and carries a 7lbs penalty for his latest success, pushing his weight up to 12-5
★★★☆☆

Lucinda Russell
Rowdy Rocher
12.45 Carlisle
Rowdy Rocher kick starts the day, dropping back to two and a half miles. He should be suited by the track and will be fine on heavy ground.
★★★★☆

Nick Alexander
Little Glenshee
12.45 Carlisle
5 run and Lucy rides on ground that I hope will be very soft, she seems well but always comes on for her first run of the season, we have done as much as we can with her at home.
★★☆☆☆

Lucinda Russell
Back to Bracka
1.50 Carlisle
Back To Bracka makes his chase debut in the two and a half mile novice chase. He has a few pounds to find with a couple of the others but has schooled well this week.
★★☆☆☆

Philip Kirby
Stopped Out
1.50 Carlisle
Higgh classic handicapper, Stopped Out goes at Carlisle. James Reveley is on him for the first time and he looks to have a sound chance providing he gets his confidence over the bigger obstacles. James is a master at seeing a stride and should suit him really well. Henry Brooke is banned for tomorrow so couldn’t be on board this time.
★★★★☆

Roger Charlton
Oriental Splendor
2 15 Kempton
He ran over 5f at Lingfield in a race which was too sharp for him, and so we have stepped him back to 6f. The race has worked out ok, but for being 3rd he has been dropped 3lbs to 68, which is always helpful. He has a tricky draw today in stall 9, and he is not a horse who wants to be blitzed out of the gate to get a prominent position from there. A few horses in the field have been disappointing, and it is interesting that Godolphin persist with a horse who is running off 56 with the claim, on her sixth start.
★★★☆☆

Lucinda Russell
Just Chilly
2.25 Carlisle
Just Chilly is a very lightframed filly and while she is from a good staying family we have to take on trust that she will handle the testing conditions.
★★☆☆☆

Kim Bailey
Network Rouge
3.10 Southwell
Net Work Rouge needs good ground and with all the rain those opportunities are disappearing. He also needs racecourse experience. Southwell could be a bit tight for him but he will not disgrace..
★★☆☆☆

Lucinda Russell
Ultra Du Chatelet
3.30 Carlisle
Ultra Du Chatelet should be at home on the heavy ground and if he stays better than last time he has every chance in the 3m2f chase.
★★★☆☆
