15/02/17 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Nick Alexander
2.50 Newcastle Heres To Harry 33/1
Unlucky last time when nearly brought down at the first fence he really needs to record a number rather than a letter by his name tomorrow as hope is fading, gluey ground will be the excuse this time no doubt, Grant Cockburn rides, and I know the owner will be very disappointed if he doesn’t run considerably better than the 33-1 odds suggest he will.
★☆☆☆
4.20 Newcastle Clan Legend 7/2
This is a nice race for him but he won’t get his own way in front and it still feels daunting having to run him at this level, perhaps he will surprise me.
★★★☆☆

David Pipe
4.10 Towcester Sweettoothtommy 5/1
Sweettoothtommy has top weight in the staying handicap chase and he has been in decent form of late, finishing in the frame on four of his last five starts.  He is 3lbs lower than when third at Taunton last time and has each-way claims at odds of around 8/1.
★★★☆☆
4.40 Towcester Whitley Neill 7/1
Whitley Neill makes his racecourse debut in the bumper at 4.40pm - he goes okay at home although he is entitled to improve for the experience.
★★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston Davies
2.00 Wolverhampton Celestial Dancer 8/1
Celestial Dancer comes down a further pound to 46 and with three places to her credit from that mark or a pound higher on this track, should mean she has another good each way chance. Versatile over trip, she should go well having shown good signs last time out. Josh Quinn rides.
★★★☆☆
3.10 Towcester Yanmare 2/1
Yanmare has gone up 30lbs since October to a mark of 104 on the back of three wins, but the last two outings off this mark have still seen good efforts. He wears cheekpieces for the first time, and drops back to 2m 6f but went well here last time. A clear chance again and should be staying on at the finish. Jamie Bargary takes off 3lbs.
★★★☆☆
4.40 Towcester Corzeam 10/1
Corzeam makes his racecourse debut in the bumper, wearing a hood and tongue tie. Has worked well enough to suggest a good run to come and we are hopeful. Zak Baker rides and takes off 7lbs.
★★★☆☆

Fergal O'Brien
2.40 Towcester Socksy 13/2
We are excited to have ‘Socksy’ running again tomorrow back at Towcester where she won 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow is a bit further in trip but that should suit her so we hope she can run another big race for owner Cedric Brookes.
★★★★☆
