14/02/17 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Malcom Jefferson
2.50 Ayr Virtually Ours 25/1
Virtually Ours makes her hurdling debut on the back of an improved run in the last of her three bumpers. She schools nicely at home and will hopefully do the same tomorrow in a field of horses. We would prefer to run her over further and will step her up in trip in due course but it is a nice place to start. Jamie rides her.

4.20 Ayr Special Catch 9/4
Brian is on Special Catch in the 2m 4f handicap chase. A big horse that has just joined us, it was pleasing to get off to a winning stable debut over fences at Sedgefield last time. Up three pounds for that success he still looks well treated and all being well he should stay the trip. We would have preferred to have given him a longer break as he likes a month between races, but after this week there was nothing suitable in the next month so we will let him take his chance.

Nick Alexander
2.20 Ayr Mcgintys Dream 6/4
He won nicely last time and as a result is 14lb higher now, we’ve deliberately given him plenty of time since then and hopefully he can continue to progress now the penny has dropped.
★★★★☆
2.50 Ayr Off The Hook 100/1  & Just Brooke 66/1
Both have schooled nicely but are likely to be need further over hurdles in due course
★☆☆☆☆
3.20 Ayr Another Mattie 7/2
He ran nicely last time to finish 3rd over an inadequate 2 miles 4f last time and should appreciate the return to 3 miles, 7 run.
★★★★☆
