2.30 Lingfield Crievehill
13/2
Crievehill has had two races, a maiden and a
novice hurdle, where he showed promise with a second and fourth respectively.
He makes his handicap hurdle debut from top weight and a mark of 122, but has
improvement to come. He sticks to 2m and the same ground (soft) as before and
wears a hood for the first time. Sam Twiston-Davies rides, looks to have solid
each way prospects and a good run expected.

3.00 Lingfield Better
Days 10/1
Better Days won well here over the same trip two
outings ago to earn a 7lb rise to 104 but finished mid division subsequently at
Huntingdon on Boxing Day. From the same mark here but heavier ground, he should
go well and also looks to have decent each way hopes. Sam in the saddle.

Mark Usher
3.10 Wolverhampton Marshall Aid 5/1
We take Marshall
Aid back to Wolverhampton this afternoon for their fourteen
furlong Handicap; we are not quite convinced he entirely got home over two
miles in a decently better class handicap at Lingfield over the holidays and,
as I touched on yesterday, he has finished second and third, not beaten far, on
both of his two previous runs at Dunstall Park. He is in excellent nick at home
and, with the dead eight runners, represents reasonable each way value;
although by the nature of things one will probably pull out!!
