28/12/16 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Willie Mullins
12.00 Limerick Coquin Mans 11/10
Coquin Mans (Paul) has his first run for us in the 4YO maiden hurdle over 2 miles. He is a nice French recruit who should be sharp enough for this trip. He jumps well and should handle the heavy ground.
★★★★☆
12.15 Leopardstown Montalbano 6/5
Montalbano (Ruby) has his first run for us in the 4YO hurdle over 2m 4f. He is a nice strong sort and jumps well at home. He has the advantage of having had experience over hurdles in France but this is a very hot race with the likes of Black Key and Cap York in opposition.
★★★☆
12.35 Limerick Dicosimo 6/5
Dicosimo (Paul) makes his chasing debut in the 2m 1f beginners chase. He won over this track a year ago and the ground should be no problem. He is a fine big horse so he should be well able for this game. We expect him to go close.
★★★★★
12.50 Leopardstown Isleofhopendreams 25/1
Isleofhopendreams (Andrew Ring) will handle the ground and we think he is still well handicapped over hurdles.
★★★☆☆
12.50 Leopardstown Wood Breizh 16/1
Wood Breizh (Danny Mullins) has a lovely racing weight. He too will appreciate the trip and will like the ground.
★★★★☆
12.50 Leopardstown Noble Inn 10/1
Noble Inn (Ruby) tackles this trip for the first time and we think this is what he needs. However, he does have a lot of weight.
★★★☆☆
1.20 Leopardstown Bleu Et Rouge 9/4
Bleu Et Rouge (Barry Geraghty) makes his chasing debut and jumps fences well at home. With a clear round, we would be confident that he would finish in the money.
★★★★☆
1.20 Leopardstown Bosman Rule 25/1
Bosman Rule (Danny Mullins) is also making his chasing debut and is bred for this game. However, he would need to show significant improvement to get involved here.
★★☆☆☆
1.40 Limerick Kate Appleby Shoes 11/10
Kate Appleby Shoes (Paul) makes her hurdling debut in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. She won a bumper here and this ground is exactly what she needs. She is a good jumper and looks sure to run a big race.
★★★★★
1.50 Leopardstown Vroum Vroum Mag 4/5
Ruby has elected to ride Vroum Vroum Mag and she has been in great form at home recently. She is suited by these race conditions.
★★★★★
1.50 Leopardstown Clondaw Warrior 7/1
Clondaw Warrior (Katie Walsh) won over this trip at Clonmel recently and the form of that race was franked by the runner-up Val De Ferbet at Limerick on Monday. This drying ground will suit.
★★★★☆
1.50 Leopardstown Whiteout 50/1
Whiteout (Danny Mullins) is difficult to place but we are hoping she might get into the money here.
★★★☆☆
1.50 Leopardstown Shaneshill 10/1
Shaneshill (Patrick) has been a little disappointing but we are hoping that the ground and this trip will be a help to him.
★★★☆☆
2.15 Limerick Cap Daubois 6/1
Cap D’Aubois (Paul) runs in the listed hurdle over 2 miles. He has been hard to place but we think these race conditions suit. He was disappointing in Punchestown but he hadn’t been back from France for long before that run.
★★★☆☆
2.15 Limerick Allblak Des Places 4/1
Allblak Des Places (Katie O’Farrell) had a hard race here on Monday so we will see how is in the morning before deciding whether to run.
★★☆☆☆
3.00 Leopardstown Djakadam 5/2
Djakadam (Ruby) goes for the Lexus Chase over 3 miles. He put up a good performance in the John Durkan at Punchestown but this is tougher. Hopefully he won’t be far away.
★★★★☆
3.35 Leopardstown Carter Mckay 4/7
Carter McKay (Patrick) makes his racecourse debut in the bumper. He has won a point to point and works well at home. Hopefully, he will keep up Patrick’s good recent run.
★★★★★

Mark Usher
1.45 Lingfield Marshall Aid 20/1
This afternoon we run Brian Rogan’s prospective jumping horse, Marshall Aid, over sixteen furlongs on Lingfield’s polytrack; this is a step up in trip over his last five runs and this represents one of the rationales for running him; it is a £7k Class Four race so it is inevitably competitive with quality in depth but, with dead eight runners, he is a large each way price at around 33/1; it will be interesting to see if has, with a bit of time, strengthened to improve on his one previous attempt at two miles when Liam felt he wasn't quite as effective over this sort of trip on the flat yet.
★★☆☆☆

David Pipe
3.10 Leicester Father Edward 6/1
He was a good winner first time out at Cartmel before disappointing last time at Market Rasen.  A repeat of his earlier form would see him go close although Master Dee does look like a worthy favourite.
★★★★☆

Julia Feilden
12.10 Lingfield Veeraya 8/1
Veeraya finally got his head back in front last time and he has come out of the win with great confidece. His owner likes him to have a long break between his races so the time off is no worry and he seems in good heart at home. As it took him so long to win again, you could hardly be confident about a follow-up but here's hoping!
★★★☆☆
2.55 Lingfield Mungo Madness 50/1
Mungo Madness will be travelling down with him and he is giving his owners a nice day out as they rarely get the chance to see him run. The trip is a bit short for him but hopefully he doesn't disgrace himself.
