16/11/16 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Willie Mullins
12.10 Fairyhouse Aussie Reigns 5/2
Aussie Reigns (Ruby) has his first run for us in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. He was rated 105 on the flat in England and has schooled well enough at home. A slight concern is how he will handle the Easyfix hurdles and hopefully the ground won’t be too soft for him. Avenir D’une Vie looks the one to beat
★★★☆
12.40 Fairyhouse Asthuria 8/11
Asthuria (Ruby) goes for the mares maiden hurdle over 2m 4f. She was third over this course and distance on her first run for us last March and a reproduction of that form should be good enough here.
★★★★★
3.55 Fairyhouse Some Neck 6/5
Some Neck (Patrick) runs in the bumper over 2m 4f. He has been placed in all his previous starts in bumpers and we think this longer trip will bring out the best in him. Hopefully, he will get off the mark today
★★★★★

David Pipe
12.50 Chepstow Sweettoothtommy 16/1
Sweettoothtommy contests the 13 runner novices' hurdle at Chepstow at 12.50pm - he had some decent form in Irish point-to-points and has each way claims at odds of around 14/1.
★★★☆☆
1.20 Chepstow The Two Amigos 16/1
The Two Amigos goes in the other division and his chance looks to be more obvious with our Irish point-to-point winner certainly capable of better than he showed at Newton Abbot last time.
★★★★☆
2.40 Warwick Perspicace 10/1
has to carry top weight in the conditional jockeys handicap hurdle at 2.40pm.  He is partnered by David Noonan who takes a handy 3lbs off his back.  He is only 2lbs higher than when winning at Uttoxeter so he has claims although this looks like a competitive contest with several rivals showing good recent form.
★★★☆☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
1.55 Chepstow - Verygoodverygood
Came good at Ffos Las ten days ago and although getting a 7lb penalty for that, must have every chance of following up over just short of the same trip. He's not recently encountered good to soft ground, but he should cope and a good run expected. Ryan Hatch takes off 3lbs and the pair can go well again.
★★★★☆
3.15 Warwik -Yanmare
Won just over a month ago at Uttoxeter over 3m, his handicap debut. Up 10lb to 84 and up by 1.5f, he can further improve and looks to have every chance again. Jamie Bargary takes off 3lbs.
★★★★☆

Harry Whittington
2.25 Chepstow Farbreaga 14/1
Farbreaga is set to make his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow on Wednesday.  He wasn’t at his best in his two starts for the yard last season but has come back from his summer break in much better form.  It will be his first start at Chepstow and the track should play to his strengths.  He is versatile ground wise and has fallen to a mark of 118 which is 8lb lower than his last win.  Hopefully he can produce a good performance and be competitive.
★★★☆☆
3.00 Chepstow Katarrhini 7/2
Katarrhini is also set to run at Chepstow on Wednesday.  She is entered in a 2m mares only handicap hurdle and should be suited by the easier ground.  Her schooling and work has gone well, so hopefully she can get competitive off a mark of 81. We had considered going chasing with her but there wasn’t a suitable race for the moment.
★★★★☆

Robert Buckler
2.25 Chepstow Regal Flow 9/1
The ground will be plenty soft enough for Regal Flow so we don’t want anymore rain. Both races are going to be very competitive though but I am very excited about it
★★★★☆
4.05 Chepstow Somerset Lias 14/1
I think that Somerset Lias will run a very good race especially taking three pounds off his with Harry Cobden aboard . He worked brilliantly even with my weight on top of him on Saturday and he enjoys jumping hurdles.
★★★★☆
