2:10 Carlisle – Four Mile
Beach 3/1
Tomorrow Four Mile Beach runs in the 2m
handicap at Carlisle tomorrow and gets the 3 year old allowance enabling him to
run off bottom weight. He hasn’t been the easiest to predict and despite
handling soft on the flat, his poorest runs over jumps have come on slower
ground. With it being good to soft tomorrow we hope to get way with it!

Gordon Elliott
12:55 Wexford - Calin Des Ongrais 9/4He ran nicely at Navan last season on one of his only three runs for us. He has come on a lot since and he has schooled really well. I think the step up to 2m4f will help him and he's as fit as he could be. I'm expecting him to run well.
★★★★☆
13:10 Galway – Canelie 8/13
This is her first run since she came to us from France and she is a filly to look forward to this year and even more so for the future. She is taking on the boys here on her first start since last November so it could be tough but she has won her last four so she has to have a big chance.
★★★★☆
13:25 Wexford - Monbeg Rose 10/3
This is her first run for me having come in from Willie Mullins and this race looks like a nice opportunity for her. Billy's Hope looks like the one to beat but Monbeg Rose is the the second highest rating horse after Jessica Harrington's horse so she won't be far away.
★★★☆☆
14:00 Wexford - Bull Ride 12/1
We're hoping he can improve on just his third racecourse start as he hasn't shown us much on his two runs for the stable. He hasn't been working that well so we can only be hopeful he'll show more on the track this time.
★★☆☆☆
14:35 Wexford - D I Y Lawyer SP
This will be his first start for us if he gets in as first reserve. He had a few issues with his leg in the past but he's as fit as he can be now. Saying that he is just lacking the match practice of being in a race so it might be that he comes on a lot for this.
★★☆☆☆
15:25 Galway - Water Sprite 6/1
She has been a little star for the stable. The one thing she probably wouldn't want is the ground to be too soft so if there was no more rain I'd give her a decent chance here. She has won around Galway already which is always a help when you go back there.
★★★★☆
15:40 Wexford - Captain Von Trappe 8/1
He was a good third to Noel Meade's good horse Monksland on his first run of the season at Galway and he has come on a bit since then. This trip (2m4f) could be a bit on the short side for him but it's just a bit difficult to find opportunities for him. Lisa O'Neill is going to take a valuable 7lbs off him which will help and he should give a good account of himself.
★★★☆☆
14:50 Galway - Potters Point 4/7
He is another of the Gigginstown horses that recently came to us and he has some nice form in the book. He is starting over 2m but in time he could be suited by a longer trip. This doesn't look like the strongest race and he's fit and well so we're hoping he'll go close.
★★★★☆
16:10 Wexford - Three Swallowsnick 4/5
She goes well at home and it'll be good to get her started. Jamie Codd is going to ride her which will be a big help and although she may need this race fitness-wise, she is very tough and she stays well. We're expecting a big run.
★★★★★
16:25 Galway - Champagne Classic 6/4
He got a leg injury last season so we had to leave him off for the year. He is a nice horse though and he has plenty of talent. He is working well so it would be no surprise to see him run a big race. Whatever he does here, he'll be one to look out for in the future.

1.00 Carlisle – Two Taffs
4/11
The great thing about
Carlisle is that the ground is soft up there. This is the last chance to run
Two Taffs in a novice hurdle and he goes up there top rated. I’m looking
forward to running him and he’ll then go for the Fixed Brush Hurdle at Haydock.
★★★★☆
1.35 Carlisle –
Knockgraffon 7/2
These novice handicap
chases are really competitive but that is what they are designed for.
Knockgraffon has won around Leicester, which is a similar right handed track
with an uphill finish, and he jumps really nicely. I think he will be a better
chaser than a hurdler, it’s just a case of whether he can win a race like this
at the first time of asking. I do feel though he is a chase winner waiting to
happen.
★★★★☆
3.15 Carlisle – Walking In
The Air 11/4
I nearly went chasing with
Walking In The Air but there was just a lack of options for him given the
shortage of rain and I think off 129 he’s well treated. Two and a half miles is
ideal as is the ground. He’s fit and he’s ready to go, and so I thought I’d
kick on and run him in this race over hurdles. Once these horses have their
first runs, and then we get a bit of rain, the horses will improve, and their
second runs should then be even better than their first runs. I just love him
as a potential chaser.
★★★★☆
1.55 Huntingdon – Late
Night Lily 5/4
She’s the highest rated in
the race, she’s won around the track and Bridget takes 5lbs off so there are
plenty of positives. The slight unknown is the trip but I think she has a great
chance of winning.

Carlisle Largy Bull 50/1
It’s only his second start
under rules and I don’t know much about him, but I’m sure he’ll be fit and
ready.
★☆☆☆☆
1.35
Carlisle Twentytwos Taken 12/1
he has schooled well at
home. She’s been a bit of an in and out performer but hopefully she is back on
song, and she’ll go well. She wouldn’t be one that always runs the same race.
★★★☆☆
3.15
Carlisle Jennys Melody 14/1
She has had a long layoff
but ran up a sequence of wins before that. So we’ll see how we go with her.
★★☆☆☆

1.00 Carlisle Steal My Thunder 7/1
He was a little bit disappointing
in his bumper at Southwell in April, but he’d only just come from Ireland. He
has place claims, but Dan Skelton’s Two Taffs will be hard to beat.★★★☆☆
1.35 Carlisle Pinnacle Panda 11/1
I won on Pinnacle Panda at Sandown back in February, even though
he veered violently in the closing stages. He’s been point-to-pointing since
and goes chasing for the first time here. It’s a wide-open race.★★★☆☆
3.15 Carlisle Onefitzall 7/2
My best chance of the day is
definitely Onefitzall in
the handicap hurdle. He’s open to lots of improvement. We thought he was really
nice last year, but he had a few niggles. I’d say Definitely Red is the biggest
danger. I rode him last year and he’s a nice horse.★★★★☆
David Pipe
1.35 Carlisle Twentytwos Taken 12/1
Twentytwo's
Taken has some decent winning form over hurdles and hopefully she can translate
that ability to the larger obstacles on this chase debut - she is partnered by
Tom Scudamore.
★★★☆☆
3.00 Huntingdon Port Navas 4/1
Michael
Heard is aboard Port Navas and claims a handy 5lbs off his back, although he
will need to improve on what he has shown thus far to figure.
