Nigel
Twiston-Davies
Has had just the one bumper when 5th of 7 at Towcester. The experience will have brought him on somewhat and he now makes his hurdles debut. He meets just four rivals but should have enough to get amongst them here and a good run expected.

4.40 Southwell - Ballyhill 7/2
Makes his fourth bumper appearance. He was placed second on his racecourse debut, his next two outings saw him unplaced. Put away for the summer, he has come on and should show some more here and has enough to go very close.

2:30 Pontefract – Kings Heart 16/1
Today we take our recent Ffos Las Nursery
winner, King’s Heart, up to
Pontefract; a long way, he has gone up seven pounds and it is a significant
better class of race than the Ffos Las Nursery that he won so decisively. As we
begin to run into the end of the turf season the race programme begins to
contract hence the journey to Yorkshire; he remains in excellent nick at home
and it will be interesting to see how he gets on and he is well capable of
defying the hike back up the handicap; the issue will be how he copes with the
rise in class.

2:50 Windsor – Leapt 20/1
Leapt heads to Windsor and has been handed by far the tougher of the two
divisions by chance. He ran a nice race at Sandown, showing good speed and
resolution up the hill. The step up in trip will not be against him

3:30 Pontefract – Giant Redwood 11/1
GIANT REDWOOD heads to Pontefract in what
we hope will prove a good opportunity for him. He has an entry in the Horses in
Training Sales and it would be great to see him head into the sales on the back
of a decent effort.
