Ryan Moore

14:35 Curragh - Best In The World 10/11
I really liked this filly last year when I won on her here but she has taken a while to get her act together this season. However, she is coming along nicely now judged on her defeat of Somehow, who obviously did the form no harm next time, in a Group 3 over 1m4f at Cork. The step back to 1m2f may not be ideal, but hopefully she will have the pace and class to cope with it.
★★★★

15:10 Curragh - Washington DC 9/1
He ran well below par at York last time, but he was poorly drawn there, so I think you can ignore that run. His earlier efforts in some of the top sprints this season, in which he has run to a consistently high level, clearly give him a good chance here. But, as ever, little separates a few of these on official figures and the run of the race will probably decide the winner.
★★★★

15:40 Curragh - Promise To Be True 11/10
This is a filly with a lot of potential. I think she will really flourish next season but you had to be impressed by the way that she won her Group 3 at Leopardstown last time. She did it very nicely for me, and I think the form is pretty strong, too. She looks an excellent prospect, and hopefully she can carry on her progression and education with another win here. But it could that Rhododendron is more the "now" horse, if that makes sense. I won on her at Goodwood and I thought it looked like that she won a bit more easily than the winning margin suggested when beating Hydrangea a head in the Debutante last time. There could be little between the pair.
★★★★

16:15 Curragh – Churchill 4/6
He isn't flashy but he is very effective. He is never going to be a horse who is wildly impressive but he is professional and only does just enough. I thought that he won with plenty in hand when winning a Group 3 for me narrowly at Leopardstown and he looked to win well for Seamie in the Futurity here last time. This is his stiffest task to date, though, and the likes of Mehmas and Lockheed are all serious rivals. Mehmas is probably the form horse, having given the subsequent Gimcrack winner Blue Point 3lb and a beating in the Richmond, and if he stays this extra furlong he could prove tough to beat. But I like my colt, and there is more to come from him. He is the sort who will raise his game when necessary.
★★★★

16:50 Curragh - Order Of St George 1/6
It will obviously be surprising if he is beaten. He ran away with this race by 11 lengths last season and has carried on where he left off last season with three wins this year, the most impressive of which was his three-length win in the Gold Cup. You have to respect the likes of Trip To Paris and Wicklow Brave but my colt is the price that he is for a reason.
★★★★★

Hugo Palmer

13:45 Chelmsford – Aventinus 7/1

He clearly didn't run up to his best in a Goodwood nursery last time, and probably didn't like the soft ground at Ayr previously even though his pedigree suggested he might. But if he returns to the form of his 7f Kempton novice second in June then he would have a chance. It looks a well-contested maiden, though.
★★★☆☆
17:25 Curragh – Humbert 12/1

I entered three for this 300,000 euros 6f sales race but, unsurprisingly given the money on offer, only Humbert got in. He clearly has to improve to be involved in the finish here against much higher-rated horses like Medicine Jack but he shaped very well when just touched off over this trip on his debut at Thirsk, and has pleased us since. We run him in cheek pieces for the first time, too.
★★★☆☆
