Willie Mullins
Un De Sceaux
12:20 Thurles
Un De Sceaux (Ruby) makes his eagerly awaited chasing debut in the 2m 2f beginners chase. His schooling has gone really well and we are very happy with him. This track will suit and, if he jumps as clinically ashe did over hurdles, he should make a winning start over fences here.

Gaelic Myth
1:10 Taunton
GM was a good ground Ludlow bumper winner and placed 3rd over hurdles on his only start; this likable Midnight Legend gelding must have a great chance ... 'IF' he can handle the soft ground. Jason Maguire rides.

Kim Bailey
Mollys A Diva
1:20 Uttoxeter
MAD is running over fences for the first time and although she will have her favoured heavy ground this is a tough race even though there are only 4 runners. David Bass rides.
★★★☆☆

Willie Mullins
Max Dynamite
1:25 Thurles
Max Dynamite (Ruby) makes his hurdling debut in the 4YO maiden hurdle over 2 miles. He had a good flat rating and has schooled well enough at home. This looks like a hot race but we are hoping that he will be thereabouts at the business end today.

Willie Mullins
Clondaw Court
2:00 Thurles
Clondaw Court (Ruby) goes for the 2m 6f conditions hurdle. He is very well suited by the race conditions and is a course and distance winner. He has been difficult to train but, all being well, this looks like a great opportunity.

Progressed into a very smart handicap hurdler last season, agonisingly touched off in the Pertemps, and has really impressed in his two starts over fences at Chepstow and Wincanton. It may have only been a three-runner race in the Rising Stars, but I was very pleased with the performance and at this stage he is my main hope for the RSA.
The problem we have here is the testing conditions, as ideally he wants much better ground than this and that is a concern. But we may as well run him here in a 30k race rather than school him, this is the first day of the meeting, and the ground is always better on the chase course here. And obviously the race has really cut up. We have to give Carraig Mor 7lb but we are rated 17lb superior to him on official ratings.

Knockanrawley
2:45 Newbury
I am heading to Newbury where we have nearly a full turn out of KBRP owners to watch their horseKnockanrawley perform.

Personally I think he is incredibly badly handicapped and hence 5lbs off and Ed Cookson could make a difference. KAR will love the course and the ground and will run well.

Improved for the fitting of a tongue tie when winning a couple of heavy ground Taunton handicap hurdles back in February, and then ran well off much higher marks afterwards. Wetweaked his breathing during the summer, so hopefully that will help him, but he is one of mine that has taken an awful lot getting fit after enjoying his summer a little too much. However, he is pretty straight now.
I don't think the handicapper has taken too many chances in giving him a chase mark of 133 - which mirrors that of his hurdle rating - but he is an Irish point winner who hopefully can progress over fences. We have won this race for the last two years, and hopefully he can put up a bold show here on his favoured soft ground.

The prevailing conditions will make it a test of stamina which will suit Daneking

I don't like talking horses up before they have made their debut for me, but it is probably my fault that this horse comes to the track today with a big reputation after I said in a recent interview that I "simply adore" him and put him up as a horse to follow. But I suppose that he has at least done it on the track in France, not at home, being already rated 149 after winning two from three at Auteuil and falling when going well on the other occasion.
However, that mark and the fact that 4yos don't get a generous chase allowance these days - if we did I would have sent him chasing straight away, like I did with Kauto Star - means that I have gone down this route with him. And it is worth bearing in mind that Timeform only rate him 136 on his French form, so he could be badly handicapped on what he has shown.
But he has done everything right since joining us and jumps really well - we have already schooled him over fences - and is clearly an exciting chasing prospect for the yard. But he is another of mine who has taken time to get fit, and he is a long-term project, and he will definitely improve for the run, whatever he does here. And I must stress again that we bought him as a chaser, not as a hurdler, but we have to start him somewhere. Runs in a tongue tie.

Willie Mullins
Kate Appleby Shoes
3:40 Thurles
Kate Appleby Shoes (Patrick) runs in the bumper. She has finished runner-up on her two runs so far and the form of the racent Naas last time has been working out well. The drop back in trip shouldn’t be a problem and we think she will cope with the softer ground here
★★★★☆

David Pipe
Minister Of Mayem
4:00 Taunton
Minister Of Mayhem makes his first start for the stable and begins life in handicaps from a mark of 85. He had some decent form on the level in Ireland and could be interesting.
★★★☆☆

Richard Fahey
Zaza Zest
6:25 Kempton
The daughter of Approve bolted up in a class 5 Maiden Auction race on her first start on the fibresand at Southwell two weeks ago and takes a leap up in class here today.
