Nigel Twiston-Davies
2.00 Hereford Arctic Gold 11/2
Arctic Gold had a very good record over hurdles with 5 wins from 10
earning a rating of 138 in the process. He makes his chase debut here over a
trip that should suit from his hurdles exploits. Though some rivals are more
experienced over fences, he's gone well at home and can go very well today. Tom
Humphries rides and claims 7lbs.
★★★★☆
2.00 Hereford Goodbye Dancer 16/1
Goodbye Dancer made his chase debut last time over 2m 4f on heavy ground
from a mark of 135 but pulled up. Down 3lbs here and up in trip to 3m 1f will
help and improvement is expected. Jamie Bargary rides claiming 3lbs.
★★☆☆☆
3.00 Hereford Colins Brother 11/4
Colin's Brother has won both of his last chases in good style and
is now up to 128 from 114. He also steps up to 2m 4f which he's won over before
over hurdles. He's still open to improvement and looks to have a very good
chance of making it three in a row. Jamie Bargary rides claiming 3lbs.
★★★★☆
3.10 Leicester Verygoodverygood 12/1
Verygoodverygood is another that won two in a row a couple of
races back where subsequent rises to 125 from 110 may have proved restrictive.
Visored for the first time today will help and it does seem he's got more to
come yet. The 2m 4+f will suit and he looks capable of taking a hand here.
Willy Twiston-Davies rides.
★★★☆☆
3.30 Hereford Belmount 11/1
Belmount won twice over course and distance back in September and
October but a rise of 122 to 133 appeared to have been restrictive. Back to 130
here will help on a track he clearly goes well on, but Jamie's claim can prove
valuable. A good run expected with each way chances.
★★★☆☆
3.40 Leicester Templehills 9/1
Templehills won nicely last time following a fall on his chasing
debut. He's up 6lbs here but is showing that sort of improvement and a couple
more furlongs here should only help. This is a better race, but Zak Baker takes
off 7lbs and that may prove valuable.
★★★☆☆
5.20 Kempton Celestial Dancer 16/1
Celestial Dancer is
still a maiden after 14 races but 3 runners up slots in the the last 7 offers
encouragement. From a mark of 47 here and over 2m, she can go well with Hollie
Doyle riding and taking off 5lbs.
★★★☆☆
David Pipe
3.30 Hereford What A Moment 9/1
He was a good winner at Cheltenham
back in November and followed that up with a solid effort at Chepstow although
he was slightly disappointing at Wetherby most recently. He is a 7/1
chance in the paper and has claims if returning to his best under stable jockey
Tom Scudamore.
★★★☆☆
