2.50 Huntingdon Magnificent Madiba 66/1
Magnificent
Madiba to Huntingdon later if they pass an 8.00 a.m. inspection. And if it has
not gone bottomless. A slow learner, he needs to race competitively over
hurdles to get the hang of what it is all about...

7.00 Dundalk Guard Of Honour 13/8
And Guard of Honour our first runner in Dundalk
this evening. A talented stayer, he has run a big race each time he has headed
across the Irish Sea. Reunited with Colin Keane who finished 2nd on him in the
2015 Irish Cesarewitch....

1.00 Lingfield Ode To Paris 11/4
We have
one runner in the first at Lingfield this afternoon and he appears to have a
solid chance. Ode To Paris returned over seven furlongs and shaped with a deal
of promise when finishing fourth. He showed signs of freshness early in the
race and given the slow pace he was disadvantaged by being at the rear of
the field. He now drops in grade to a 0-65, his mark has dropped two pounds to
65 and from what we have seen at home and on the track a Mile should bring
about some improvement as long as he settles better this time. The one negative
is the draw out wide in stall 9 but hopefully we can overcome it and he can run
a big race.

8.45 Wolverhampton Misu Pete 6/1
Misu Pete runs this evening in Wolverhampton’s
seven furlong Handicap, the last race on the card; as I touched on yesterday
the Handicapper has relented slightly and he is now running off six pounds
lower than when he won at Dunstall Park in March and eight pounds lower than
when he was so terribly unlucky at Chelmsford a month later; in a slightly
easier grade than when he ran adequately at Chelmsford over the holidays he has
a fair chance this evening at around 7/1 with a quarter the odds if all twelve
run.
