13/12/16 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

David Pipe
12.40 Wincanton Citrus 16/1
Citrus was a winner at Plumpton last month and competes from a mark of 110 today and while he is favourite according to the Post, he would need to improve again.
★★★☆☆
12.40 Wincanton Carqalin 18/1
Carqalin shaped with a little more promise last time at Chepstow, is down a bit in the weights and has Michael Heard taking a further 5lbs off his back.
★★★☆☆
1.40 Wincanton Cafe De Paris 12/1
Cafe de Paris might just prove the better of our pair and if he stays this trip he could have each way claims at a reasonable price.
★★★☆☆

Malcom Jefferson
1.20 Catterick Gullys Edge 9/1
Like most ordinary novice chases it is a competitive race but he has gained some experience in his two starts over fences to date and he should be suited by a strong gallop (which looks likely on paper)
★★★★☆
3.20 Catterick Temple Man 4/1
Temple Man runs in bumper which has one or two nicer types in it on paper but he is one of those so hopefully he will get his head in front. He is strengthening up all the time and has come on leaps and bounds mentally for racing. Fingers crossed!
★★★★★

Nigel Twiston Davies
12.40 Wincanton Wicked Willy 13/2
Just one today at Wincanton where Wicked Willy contests the 12.40, a 2m 3+f handicap hurdle, partnered by Zack Baker. He makes his handicap debut here after a third in a novice hurdle then a second place in a Worcester maiden in early June. He goes from top weight and a mark of 112, but over a similar trip and ground he should enjoy, can be given a solid each way chance with 7lbs being claimed. A good run expected.
★★★★☆

Seamus Mullins
2.40 Wincanton Bahumbug 8/1
Must have an each way chance. Lensio has been in and ridden out this morning and we think we will make more use of the horse today and see how we fair. Forecast is good to soft but Paul said it was chucking it down when he flew past (in his car, he can't quite afford a chopper yet!) Wincanton this morning and the rain hasn't stopped here so we presume the ground will turn to soft later on.
★★★☆☆
