1.00 Market Rasen Mr
Monochrome 12/1
Mr Monochrome won nicely at Ayr over the minimum
trip and he looks sure to improve for further. It is tough to win under a
penalty and there are nice types in the race but, unless he is unsuited by a
sharper track, he shouldn’t be disgraced.
★★★☆☆
2.05 Market Rasen Oscar
Rock 10/3
Oscar
Rock
likes this course (well the chase course) and bringing him back over hurdles
seems a sensible option given there are not a lot of races about for him. He
goes well fresh and is in good form so hopefully the ground is not too soft as
he should run a big race.
★★★★★
2.35 Market Rasen Urban
Hymn 13/2
Urban Hymn
was disappointing last time but he has come out of the race very well and has
come on for the run. He is down to a nice mark but needs to show his old zest.
The trip and course should be fine so hopefully he will sparkle.

2.10 Clonmel Alelchi Inois 2/1
Alelchi Inois (Ruby) goes for the Grade 2 Clonmel Oil
Chase over 2m 4f. These race conditions really suit and the trip is perfect. If
the rain stays away he must have a great chance.
★★★★★
2.40 Clonmel Westerner Lady 8/13
Westerner Lady (Ruby) runs in the 2m 4f Grade 3 mares
chase. She was second over this trip at Cork last week and hopefully this isn’t
coming too soon. Rock On The Moor looks the one to beat but our mare has plenty
of jumping experience and we are prepared to take our chance.
★★★★☆
3.50 Clonmel Miss Me Now 7/2
Miss Me Now (Ruby) runs in the 2 mile
conditions hurdle. This is her first run since she disappointed at Fairyhouse
last March but her form was good up to that point. We need to get her out again
and we will see how good she is after this run. Realistically, we will be
pleased if she finishes in the money.

1.45 Wincanton Spice Fair 25/1
Spice Fair
has won nine times from 70 starts and has been second or third a further 22
times, a quite wonderful record. Even at the age of nine going on ten his
hurdling career has been quietly progressive and in six run over hurdles last
Winter he was never out of the first three culminating in a spiffing third in
the Imperial Cup at Sandown in March. Today he runs for the first time over
hurdles since and is running off a career high mark of 131 but, if he gets a
strong enough pace to settle off and avoids any trouble, he should run well.
★★★☆☆
8.00 Chelmsford City Marshall Aid 7/2
There is also a lot (possibly even more) to
like about Marshall Aid and his chance at
Chelmsford this evening; he is quietly progressing and ran a good deal better
than his actual finishing position would suggest at Nottingham at the end of
October, just finding a lack of race fitness (he had been away from Rowdown
schooling over hurdles at Henrietta Knight’s Yard) against him in the last
furlong or so; the Yard believe he is in excellent nick and the track and trip
should all suit him; he represents each way value at around 8/1 and with nine
runners there is even some place insurance if there is one non runner!!

2:50 Wincanton -Little Pop 13/2
Little Pop won two outings ago on his return to fences at Hereford in
early October but unseated his rider last time at Kempton. Likely to find
things a little easier here, he's in good form and looks to have a good each
way chance, but with the yard in good form we would hope for better. Ryan Hatch
aboard.
