04/11/16 Straight From The Trainers Mouth

Malcom Jefferson
1.10 Hexham Kelka 11/8
Kelka did well last season winning on debut then finishing second twice to two six year olds (she is four) including on her hurdle debut over course and distance. She has done well over the summer and is in good form at home. She will handle the course, like the ground and has the allowances. The only negative is she will probably want further then two miles so it is wether she gets away with it on a stiff track. I would be surprised if she needed the run but you never know.
★★★★
1.45 Hexham Ryedale Racer 5/4
Ryedale Racer is a lovely little horse who really stuck his neck out to win last time. He has the penalty to give away and the danger would be Ian Jardine’s horse, but we know he likes the course and the ground and if this race doesn’t come to soon he should put up a bold show.
★★★★☆

Nigel Twiston-Davies
1.00 Fontwell- Guiting Power 15/2
Wears a visor for the first time and drops a further 4lbs to 80. His only previous attempt at today's 3m+ trip saw him pulled up from a mark of 94 back in January, so we would be hopeful of a much better run from this mark. Jamie Bargary takes off a further 3lbs.
★★★☆☆
2.35 Warwick- Winning Ticket 6/1
Makes his stable debut having joined from Paul Morgan's yard where he achieved three places from seven starts. His penultimate outing saw him finish down the field from a mark of 103, his first handicap, and he goes from 110 here. Kept to the minimum trip, he looks to have a decent each way chance. Ryan Hatch rides.
★★★☆☆
3.10 Warwick- Brownville 8/13
Meets just two rivals and looks to have the best form on show with a win three outings ago at Uttoxeter in April and his 4th place two weeks ago at at Cheltenham. He should be able to produce a similar run here over the same trip and ground and if doing so will be hard to beat. Ryan in the saddle.
★★★★☆
4.15 Warwick- Squeaky 20/1
Makes her debut in the mares bumper and having shown well at home can make a pleasing bow. May need a trip in time but can go well with each way chances. Ryan rides.
★★★☆☆

Nick Alexander
2.20 Hexham Dutch Canyon 6/1
Dutch Canyon makes his chasing debut in the 2.20, 9 run and Lucy rides, his schooling has been good and he’s always been an embryonic chaser rather than a bumper/hurdle type so we are hoping for a decent run off what looks like an attractive handicap mark to me, he will come on for it though and stepping up to 3 miles for his first start of the season may just stretch him a bit.
★★★☆☆
4.00 Hexham Been Decided 12/1
Also stepping up to 3 miles for the first time is Been Decided in the 4pm, Lucy rides and 8 run, he ran nicely at Carlisle two weeks ago and has been in good form since but the handicapper hasn’t given much away with his opening mark.
★★★☆☆

Alan King

3.55 Fontwell David Cricket
We have declared David Cricket for the bumper at Wincanton even though he is also in at Fontwell today. We’ll monitor the ground in Sussex this afternoon before deciding whether to run in their finale, but he could be re-routed to Wincanton. He’s the last foal of that smart racemare Lady Cricket and showed promise when second at Warwick on his only run last year. He has been schooling great at home, but another run in a bumper will be good experience for him.
★★★★★

David Pipe
2:35 Warwick – Nice Thoughts 5/1
Nice Thoughts did finish a good second at Ffos Las last season, form which would give him a good chance here although his most recent efforts have been a little disappointing.  A repeat of his earlier form would make him worth a little each way interest at likely odds of around 10/1.   Tom Scudamore is in the saddle
